Description Raphaël Droz 2017-06-17 01:58:17 UTC
Reproduce:
* Create a text + footnote/crossreference. Ex: "ABCDE ¹ FGHI"
* Move at the begining
* Activate "overwrite" mode
* Overwrite the whole (ex, using "X"), passing over the footnote, so that the text looks like: "XXXXXX¹XXGHI"
* Press "Cancel" once ==> cursor move to the character "X" before the footnote (and footnote is wrongly removed)
* Press "Cancel" again ==> Libreoffice hangs

You were right.
I couldn't reproduce this bug using LibreOffice Writer 5.2.7
