Description George 2017-06-23 01:13:50 UTC
Sometimes, a chart will not update when data in cells is changed. Right now, I have one chart that never updates unless I move the chart AT LEAST one pixel on the screen and then it will update itself. This has been going on since I first began using LibreOffice calc and I have updated it twice since then.

Comment 3 Xisco Faulí 2017-06-23 23:23:49 UTC
I can't reproduce it in

Version: 6.0.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: 08f6f9dded1b142b858c455da03319abac691655
CPU Threads: 4; OS Version: Linux 4.8; UI Render: default; VCL: gtk2;
Locale: ca-ES (ca_ES.UTF-8); Calc: group

I double-click on the table, right click, data table, modify any value, ok -> the chart is updated.

Please provide a clearer set of step-by-step instructions on how to reproduce the problem.
I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' once the steps are provided

As I said, it's intermittant. Mine is working correctly right now. The one I sent you was not... at that time. I just loaded it up again and now, It is changed When I attempt to check the "Data Ranges" that's no longer there and "Data Table" has taken it's place
 This is confusing as heck.
Comment 5 George 2017-06-23 23:46:06 UTC
That chart was supposed to display the information in column e 332-351
Comment 6 George 2017-06-23 23:55:55 UTC
The data range for that chart is SUPPOSED to be taken from column e, 332-251
Comment 7 George 2017-06-24 11:11:04 UTC
I loaded my sheets for that app and this morning, it's working again. The next time it doesn't work, I think I have a way to save only that page style without it modifying itself.

Here's the latest update to this issue....
When a chart freezes as I have indicated, I save the file and close it. The I re-open that same file and the chart works again. I've done this for two days now and this does get that frozen chart to work again until another chart freezes and I do to "save and re-open" trick again.
I hope this will offer some help with your understanding of what is going on. Obviously, ending a copy of that sheet will not do the same thing for you.

I believe that the problem is caused by the fact that it was originally an Excel file. I would have rewritten it from scratch in the ODS format but I figured you may want to look into this, find a fix and incorporate the fix into Libre Office or Calc.
Otherwise, the charts normally fail to work after I save the file once the changes are made ofter I checked the clocks.

Remember, It's the process of SAVING the file that causes the charts to lock up.
