Description Dick Kniep 2017-07-04 06:36:56 UTC
Description:
I have a document which should be mail merged with userfields. I have added fields (and thought I added userfields). Then I noticed they were not userfields and hence the mailmerge did not work. I tried changing the type, but that did not work then I tried to rebe move the fields and re-insert them that did not work either. This report might be related to another bug report where the type is not correctly added.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add a field with a type other than usertype
2. Try to change the type of the field
3.

Actual Results:
It refuses to add the field anew

Expected Results:
It should be possible to change the type of a field, and when I delete a field from the document one should be able to add it anew

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

When one tries to add a field (type userfield) with the original name (they all have the etension "_rename" it will refuse to do so. The insert button will be greyed out.

You have to go to Insert - more fields again, go to the type you first used, select the name and click the red X to remove it for real.
