Hi karthikeyan g,

I don't reproduce using Mangal and Latha fonts under Windows 7.
Is Ctrl+B not working? Are you using a special keyboard?
Is it corrected when you
Restart in Safe Mode...
into Help menu?
Comment 3 tommy27 2017-07-13 15:36:29 UTC
how do I get Tamil fonts?
Comment 4 Jacques Guilleron 2017-07-13 16:08:23 UTC
Hi tommy27,

Mangal font is installed by LIbreOffice.
Latha is a font provided by Windows.
You could try also:
http://salrc.uchicago.edu/resources/fonts/available/tamil/

Next, Google Translate is useful to get a few words.

Jacques

Mangal 5.90.. works for me.

When you say "select the all Tamil fonts" do you mean you have text in multiple fonts? Can you bold text with a single font?

Yes, It is reproduced in my system.

Steps Followed:
1. Open LibreOffice Writer
2. Type Tamil content.
3. For Step 2, sample can be taken here - "வானூர்தியில் தான் கருப்புப் பெட்டி என்று கேள்விப்பட்டிருக்கிறேன்."
4. Try to bold through both the ways (Ctrl + B and clicking on 'Bold' button).
5. Verify the result.

Expected: Content should be bolded
Actual: Bold not working

Environment: LibreOffice Version: 5.3.4.2 (x64), Windows 7 Home Basic 64 bit OS
