Description: I added an image to a doc, added an arrow, added a textbox, and it appeared at the bottom of the following page instead of inside the arrow. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create 1.5 pages of "hello" lines or similar 2. add a full-page image in the middle of the first page (will appear on the second page obviously) 3. add an arrow (I use the arrow pointing left to right) 4. add a text box Actual Results: Text box is created at the bottom of the third page Expected Results: Text box should be inside the arrow (works with smaller images) Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0
Created attachment 134731 [details] short document created as described Additional info: - reloading the document shows the textbox in the correct place (both in 5.2 and 5.4.0.2) - the arrow is BEHIND the image (should be in front- should I file an additional bug?) - the textbox is correctly in front of the image Bug is reproducible in 5.2.7.2 and 5.4.0.2
You can type directly inside of the arrow, you do not need a text box. Right-click the arrow, Arrange, Bring to front. Save and reload shows it on top of the image. If you are having trouble with the layout, try Right-clicking your objects and experimenting with the Anchor (and read the help and docs about it). Resetting to unconfirmed. Please try to reproduce as stated (in the attached document). The problem is not "not being able to type" in the arrow, it is where the text shows up.
Ok, please attach the image. I don't have time to figure out the DPI when saving it from the document. Set to NEEDINFO. Change back to UNCONFIRMED after you have provided the image.
The image is in the attached document. To reproduce using the document: - open the document attached to this bug - add an arrow above the one that is there - add a textbox to it - see that the textbox is on page 3, and not inside the arrow - save and load, and it's in the right place

Doesn't seem to be a regression. Already in 4.4. The feature is not in 3.6 yet. Win 10 Version: 4.4.7.2 Build ID: f3153a8b245191196a4b6b9abd1d0da16eead600 Locale: fi_FI
** Please read this message in its entirety before responding ** To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!
