Description c.buhtz 2017-07-23 21:03:09 UTC
When a user want to make a field "unique" without declaring it as a primary key it can be done with in the table-edit-window with the menu "Tools -> Index Design...".

IMO it would be more user friendly to offer this simple option in the main table-edit-window.

Isn't a simple option, because you could set a combination of more than one field to "unique". Also you could define the sorting-order separately. This won't work in table-edit-window.

So you need two positions to set "unique". One (for only one field, without defining sorting-order) could be placed in table-edit-window directly. Another must be placed at "Tools > Index Design" for combination of fields, changing sorting-order etc.

Have set this one to "NEW" because it isn't placed where you wish it.
Have set the version to "Inherited from OOo", because it wasn't placed there at any time.
