Description: Hello to all, I was wondering about libreoffice 5.4.0 and spoolsv.exe simply because whenever I open Libreoffice 5.4.0 x64 on windows 7 x64 PRO SP1 with spoolsv.exe service enabled it tries to load it into memory and then just sits there! By the way, the printer that I have is currently connected to a different computer directly and is shared across the network via USB Cable and so on!....... Therefore as a workaround until it either gets fixed or whatever I currently am forced to disable printer spooler service aka spoolsv.exe service in order to use the program whenever the computer it is connected to in off all the way PLUS the printer as well and as a result it will hang or sit there upon trying to open Libreoffice 5.4.0 x64 and as for the 32 bit version which I have checked as well It might occur the exact same way under that as well not sure however!! Anyways, Thanks for listening and have a wonderful day ahead!!...... Steps to Reproduce: 1.add a printer that is not directly connected to the computer in question 2.Open Libreoffice while spoolsv.exe is active 3. Actual Results: immediately Quits Responding on Libreoffice Program! Expected Results: To my knowledge Libreoffice should not hang upon opening at all and especially while printer spooler service is active aka spoolsv.exe..! Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: AMD Ryzen 7 1700 at 3.00Ghz 16Gb of RAM DDR4 2133Mhz User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/60.0.3112.78 Safari/537.36
I've seen something like this on a computer which was upgraded from Win 7 to 10. Yet, I think the problem was not isolated to LibreOffice. The problem was fixed by restarting the spooler and I made a script so the users could do it quickly.

I believe that due to the way that my printer is setup now (You see, It is now a linux based x86 Printer Server computer that is not always on and as a result unless libreoffice quickstarter is in memory upon loading libreoffice in general it tend to hang and sit there for quite some time due to spoolsv.exe on windows 7 x64 and as for windows 10 I don't think this problem exists but I could be wrong though!) Anyways, Thanks for listening and trying as well and Have a wonderful day ahead as well..
