Odd one... when I move the mouse up the screen in Calc, once it gets to the cell edit box if I move the mouse slowly above the edit box control, the mouse "jumps" to the bottom of the edit control and the cursor changes to the resize cursor image. 

If I move my mouse very quickly, then I can move upwards. 

I honestly thought my mouse was playing up, I was going insane, squinting at the mousepad, blowing on the light sensor to remove imaginary hairs, etc. 

Happening on Ubuntu Zesty 17.04.

LO ppa contains 5.4.0rc3, could you give it a try?

(on pc debian x86-64 with master sources updated today + gtk3 rendering I don't reproduce this).

No longer an issue in latest release.
