Description Bernard ROBINS 2017-08-21 07:23:41 UTC
After upgrading to 5.3.5.2 there is a microphone and circle symbol on the bottom of the screen. When I open a file created in a previous version the programme crashes. After a few attempts at repair, the symbol's disappear but after working on the file for a few minutes you can enter data but a black box appears on the screen and the programme crashes.

Sorry, I'm just a user, I hope I have entered the above questions correctly. Couldn't the "technical" bits if information you need be downloaded automatically ?

The problem did not occur in safe mode. That is far as I managed to get as I do not have the experience to understand the link advice.

After reboot the problem returned crashing when saving the file !

My solution was to uninstall 5.3.5.2 and run Ccleaner and reboot
Reinstall 5.3.5.2 and run. Problem returned.
Uninstall 5.3.52 and run Ccleaner
Install 5.3.4.2. Working OK
Update to 5.3.5.2. Problem returned.
Uninstall 5.3.5.2 and install 5.3.4.2 Working OK.

To make matters worse,I updated my laptop, an old slow machine with an ADM processor running windows 10 to 5.3.5.2 and all seems to be working OK

The PC has i5 ruining windows 10. All programs are up up to date on both machines.

Could you please check if OpenGl is enabled? if so, could you please try to disable it and retest?
