I tried to reproduce it. Result: When I try to click out from the group, the cursor always appears at the first line below the Draw Object. This still might be a bug, but it is different from the description above.
Comment 3 Davide Dozza 2017-08-24 13:27:11 UTC
Have you tried to double click the group and then click out?
Comment 4 Dieter 2017-08-24 13:29:52 UTC
I did all your "steps to reprodce" (using LO 5.3.6.1 and Win10 64Bit).
Comment 5 Davide Dozza 2017-08-24 13:34:45 UTC
Versione: 5.3.4.2
Build ID: f82d347ccc0be322489bf7da61d7e4ad13fe2ff3
Thread CPU: 8; Versione SO: Windows 6.2; Resa interfaccia: GL; Motore layout: nuovo;
Versione locale: it-IT (it_IT); Calc: group

I'll try to update LO
Comment 6 Davide Dozza 2017-08-24 13:58:31 UTC
Confirm. With version 5.3.6.1 the cursor is now visible but it appears at the first line below the Draw Object, regardless the cursor was before entering the Draw group.
Comment 7 Dieter 2017-08-24 16:33:04 UTC
So I see two possibilities:
1. Close this bug as WORKSFORME
or
2. Adjust the bug summary (if you think the current behaviour is a bug)
Comment 8 raal 2017-08-29 15:08:31 UTC

reproducible with LO 6 and 4.1.

Still present in

Version: 7.3.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: ac80ec817eb07c77a51bc0729985a473c734182e
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19043; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB
Calc: CL

Since this happens only after modifying the text, it's clearly a bug

Steps to reproduce:
1. open the attached document
2. double click un the draw object (group objects)
4. click out from the group => Cursor appears whre you click (=> expected)
5. double click un the draw object (group objects)
6. modify the text block
7. click out from the group

Actual Result: Curso appears at the first line below the group object

Expected result: Same as after step 4.
Comment 13 Dieter 2021-08-03 11:20:11 UTC
Similar result, with a simple shape with textbox: Cursor appears in the line with the anchor of the shape.

Retested with
Version: 24.2.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: e25e27c85ed970cdb97c468bdac86c80964f4231
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB
Calc: CL threaded

Actual result: Same result after step 4 and step 7: Cursor always appear at frst line below the grouped object.

Since result is consistant and original problem in comment 0 not reproducible, I'll close the bug report. Davide feel free to change back to NEW wit a short reasoniing, if you disagree.
