Description ambimom 2017-08-29 17:38:28 UTC
I just switched from Windows 10 Creator to Mac OS Sierra. Not only did I have to downgrade from LibreOffice 5 to 3 (because printer software was not compatible) but now I find that I cannot open by odb (base) files. It says it requires a JRE and JDK
environment. MAC says Java already there but upgraded manually to the latest JRE and JDK from Oracle. When I search for it through LibreOffice (add Java) it doesn't see it...though visible in library. Base inoperative. Luckily I saved a copy of a generated pdf report of the database (several hundred pages worth) but want base to work again.

Not sure what's up with LibreOffice 3.6, but it's not maintained anymore. LibreOffice 5.3/5.4 should work with Oracle JDK, though (for details see bug 101956).
