LibreOffice 5.1 toolbar display number of the currently visible page in the bottom toolbar, but in LOOL page with the cursor position. 
Also, this is probably related, getCurrentPageNumber/goToPage API methods do not work in view mode.

Could you please try with LibreOffice 5.3 Online -> https://www.collaboraoffice.com/releases-en/collabora-office-5-3-released/?
I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.

Ah, I tested with Collabora Online Development Edition 2.1.3-4, office version details from logs:
