Created attachment 136220 [details] Sample ODT with single change Open the attached document, which has change tracking enabled, and the first three paragraphs deleted as a single change. Save it as DOCX/DOC. Reopen the DOCX/DOC. => There are separate changes for each paragraph (three altogether instead of one). Because of that, after accepting changes, unnecessary empty lines remain. Observed using LO 5.4.1.2 and 4.4.0.3 / Windows 7 and Ubuntu 17.04.
Created attachment 136221 [details] Similar sample DOCK as saved in Word (single change)
Bug is already in 3.3.0.
I could reproduce it with docx, but not with doc (using the documetn from the original bug report. => I haven't changed the the status to new. Version: 5.4.2.1 (x64) Build-ID: dfa67a98bede79c671438308dc9036d50465d2cb CPU-Threads: 4; Betriebssystem:Windows 6.19; UI-Render: GL; Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE); Calc: group
Dieter, thanks for testing. For DOC, please check how many entries you see in Edit -> Track Changes -> Manage...
The "manage changes" dialog shows three changes, but now I can also reproduce your bug with the doc-file (strange) => NEW
It seems attributes like rsidDel, rsidP, rsidR, rsidRDefault, rsidRPr needs to be supported (at least in case of DOCX format).
** Please read this message in its entirety before responding ** To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. The DOCX problem has been solved by fixing Bug 121597 "FILESAVE DOCX: don't export empty paragraphs at the place of removed paragraph blocks (change tracking)". I close this issue as a duplicate of that bug, but please, reopen it only for DOC, if really needed. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 121597 ***
