Created attachment 136251 [details] Comparison of English and German paste strings in a test toolbar The German localization of paste commands are too short compared to the English strings: * Paste Only Text > Nur Text * Paste Only Formula > Nur Formeln * Paste Only Numbers > Nur Zahlen I suggest to add "einfügen" behind every German string. Reasons: * Commands should follow the Noun-Verb form. * It's hard to find out what these commands are doing when finding them in the "Customize..." dialog in their current localization. PS: Thanks for your localization work!
Suggested in Pootle. If there are more of this sort, I am happy to read about.
Thank you, Sophia! I didn't find new commands that fits into this bug report. But in bug 112826 "Self-explanatory or distinguishable names for commands in the Customize dialog's functions list" I collected English and German command names that are (near-)identical.
Sophia, was your suggestion rejected? (Do you have a link?) In LO 6.0.0.3 I don't see any change compared to older versions.
Just had a look. My suggestions were rejected and an explanation was added by C. Kühl: [C] Bearbeiten > Einfügen > Nur Text (deshalb "paste" nicht mit übersetzt).
It's several years since I worked with Pootle. I didn't find any help to comment a translation suggestion. Do I have permissions to comment or describe a suggestion? I want to add some points that are mentioned in this bug report to justify the suggestion. https://translations.documentfoundation.org/de/libo_ui/translate/officecfg/registry/data/org/openoffice/Office/UI.po#unit=33849522
