When you freeze columns, you can not type a formula into the first two columns outside a frozen column, pointing the cell from another sheet. You need to enter the entire formula from the keyboard.
Thank you for reporting the bug. Unfortunately without clear steps to reproduce it, we cannot track down the origin of the problem. Please provide a clearer set of step-by-step instructions on how to reproduce the problem. I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' once the steps are provided
I have sheet1 and sheet2. In sheet1 I freeze column A. In cell B1 I want to have the formula =sheet2.B1 In sheet1, in cell B1 I insert = sign. With the mouse I want to indicate cell B1 in sheet2 The formula does not arise. This will only happen when I create formula in D1 cell.
I cannot reproduce behavior Version: 5.4.2.0.0+ Build ID: 61d85c4e7c30ea0f5242d927b7456190020b4fbe CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 4.9; UI render: default; VCL: kde4; Locale: nl-BE (en_US.UTF-8); Calc: group
This problem was reported after analyzing forum post https://forum.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=90422
I can confirm with Version 4.1.0.0.alpha0+ and Version: 6.0.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: afeff9102c2935139de4efd40fd2286dce396706 CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.4; UI render: default; VCL: gtk2; TinderBox: Linux-rpm_deb-x86_64@70-TDF, Branch:master, Time: 2017-09-17_23:32:41
In version Calc 6.0.6.2 the problem still occurs. It appears only when the "=" sign is entered from the keyboard. I have sheet1 and sheet2. In sheet1 I freeze column A. In cell B1 of Sheet1 I want to have the formula "=sheet2.B1" In sheet1, in cell B1 I insert "=" sign from keyboard. Next with the mouse I want to indicate cell B1 in sheet2 The formula does not arise. With this method, you can not create formulas in the next two columns after frozen columns. When I use "=" sign from icon, formula is created.
Created attachment 144320 [details] I made a video describing the problem. Still in 6.2. Dear Jerzy Moruś, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! Warm Regards, QA Team MassPing-UntouchedBug
Today, in September 2019, the problem still exists. In my two 6.2 versions: 32-bit and 64-bit. And it is exactly like in the attached video in the first two columns adjacent to the frozen column when we want to indicate a cell from another sheet. For example, in Sheet1, column B is frozen. An attempt to enter the formula by pointing the cell with the mouse or keyboard fails. In the C or D column of this worksheet, I cannot enter the formula by entering the following actions from the keyboard: "character = CTRL+PgDn (This is next sheet) arrow keys". However, I can use it in column E.
