When you open the 'new snap object' dialog (context menu > insert snap point/line), it allow you to insert a snap point, a vertical snap line, and a horizontal snap line. It would be good if it allowed to insert vertical and horizontal snap lines at the given position, much like a large snap point.

In other words, the dialog should be initialized with the current cursor position at x and y, right?

Did you write this in the correct bug report as this doesnt make sense here.
