Description Mike 2017-09-30 16:17:43 UTC
Description:
The loading time of the first ODT is 34 seconds on my PC. But if I delete the last word “aliqua”, save the document, close Writer and then open the ODT again, the loading time is 4 seconds. The first file was saved with Writer, too.

Can somebody reproduce this issue? I'm not a coder, but I think this has nothing to do with the word itself, but an internal limit in Writer or something.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open files

Actual Results:
File A loads 34 seconds
File B, that is identical except the last word, takes 4 secs.

Expected Results:
File A would load in 4 secs, not 34.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
I search for dupes with "odt open loading time" but could not find a dupe.

It took around 32 seconds to open each document. So I think it is a very long time for a document of 19KB. That might be a bug, but it is not that one you describe.

Comment 4 Regina Henschel 2017-10-01 18:38:37 UTC
I can confirm, that the document "ODT takes 34 secs to load" takes such a long time to open. But the document "ODT takes 4 secs to load" is not faster. It takes a long time to open too.

If I delete "Rahmen1" or delete "Rahmen2", it opens in short time.

I have used Version: 6.0.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: 499194508c8cf91fbbc21f882bcf4ace77e19eaa
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 6.1; UI render: default;

Since you (only) confirmed that it takes a long time, I renamed the bug
