I'm using Markus' daily build with incremental update support and I want suggest and prefer a date info in the about dialog. Version: 6.0.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: 1d0fbc9927f357d25859b7cca7ea5e9a9637681e CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.10; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3; Locale: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); Calc: grou
IMHO, this is unnecessary since it can be checked from the see log link. Anyway, adding Markus to hear his opinion
Especially for me this date information would be useful for reuse in bug reports, etc. Now I (and other too) have to add the date manually after copying the about/build info.
I disagree, build date is useless and does not inform if the version is more or less recent than another because you can build today an old version. The only really informative data is the ID of the last commit, as it is actually done. Closing as WontFix. Please feel free to reopen if you disagree. In that case, please argue. Best regards. JBF
