Description Emil Tanev 2017-10-08 12:21:45 UTC
Open Calc
Add a comment to a cell
Show comment
Edit the comment - delete the content

Issue: The Add comment button is activated. So:
1. You can add more comments and show them all
2. You can delete the last comment only, and then the remaining comments (empty) will remain displayed without the option to remove them.

Version: (x64)

CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 6.19; UI render: default;
Locale: ja-JP (ja_JP); Calc: group
Comment 1 Emil Tanev 2017-10-08 12:28:05 UTC
It is also possible to add multiple empty comments from the begining, and the comment red dot appears, but you do not get the option to show or delete or edit them.

I confirme in all versions that comes later. Also with LO 6.0.
OS:Win 7.
I can delete only the latest comment but not previous.
Can delete pnly as an objects but not as a comments.

Tested with

Build ID: 8061b3e9204bef6b321a21033174034a5e2ea88e
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk2;

and in 7.0 the issue is less relevant.

After deleting the content of the comment, with right-click on the same cell you can create a new comment ("Insert comment...") over the context menu but then the old empty one vanishes.

Calc handles an empty comment in the context menu of a cell in the same way as there is no comment at all.
