Description: Trying to insert a PNG image into a Writer document results in this error i Writer 5.4.1.2 (fresh install) under fully patched Windows 7 64 bit. Am unable to insert the image using any method to insert it (drag-and-drop into the document, Insert Image commands...) Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a document in Write 2. Use Insert Image button on toolbar to locate a PNG image and select it Actual Results: 1. Writer pops up dialog box saying 'Image filter not found' and nothing is inserted into the document. Expected Results: The image should have been inserted into the document. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:56.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/56.0

Cannot Reproduce: Windows 10 (X64) LibreOffice: Version: 5.4.2.2 (x64) Build ID: 22b09f6418e8c2d508a9eaf86b2399209b0990f4 CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 6.19; UI render: default; Locale: en-US (en_US); Calc: group I have tried to insert image PNG and JPG in Writer 5.4.2.2 and it works for me. Maybe you can install fresh version and try it. Good luck!

To be certain the reported issue is not related to corruption in the user profile, could you please reset your Libreoffice profile ( https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile ) and re-test? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the issue is still present
Actions taken: * Uninstalled LibreOffice * Rebooted Windows * Downloaded and installed LibreOffice 5.4.2.2 * Opened an existing document, attempted to insert a PNG image using the toolbarbutton * LibreOffice Writer came back with a dialog box 'Image filter not found' * Situation is unchanged wrt previous bug report.
I am on a fully-patched Windows 7 64 bit installation and I downloaded the 64 bit version of LibreOffice.
What if you do: Help - Restart in safe mode and then Continue in safe mode without touching any other option?
