Description js 2017-10-18 10:31:17 UTC
Description:
Dear all,

i don't know, if this is right, but i tell what i found:
actually i am studying "statistic" and there i found the "Varianz" and the "Standardabweichung" and below there i would calculate the "Quadratesumme". Therefore i had a row with numbers:
0; 1; 2; 2; 5
The "Quadratsumme" as it is shown in the Book is QS = 14; and i tried to calculate this in Libreoffice and the result was 34.
Maybe i did something wrong or didn't understand but i hope that you will do better and check this topic.

Actual Results:
i had a row with numbers:
0; 1; 2; 2; 5
The "Quadratsumme" as it is shown in the Book is QS = 14; and i tried to calculate this in Libreoffice and the result was 34.

Expected Results:
the result was 34

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: maybe 14

5.1 version is EOL. Would it be possible you give a try to a recent LO version?
FYI, last stable one 5.3.6 or even brand new 5.4.2

Thank you for reporting the bug.
it seems you're using an old version of LibreOffice.
Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ?
I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.

What is the definition of "Quadratsumme" in your book ?

For me this bug report is invalid because it is a call for help for an homework.
When you need help using LibreOffice, please go to https://ask.libreoffice.org

Best regards. JBF
