Description Jerome 2017-10-18 18:25:52 UTC
Description:
In a frame without Borders, now writer applies the spacing of Contents value. Before the values were grayed and assume as 0 even they are different.

Actual Results:
- open writer V5.1.6.2
- insert>frame>frame interactively
- drag and drop a not to small box
-> you see a space between the borders and the box inside
- Format>Frame and Object>Properties>borders
-> spacing of cantent values are changeable
- If values are ZERO then put any + value in them.
- clic on Line arrangement>defaut>"no border" (1st case)
-> spacing of content values are grayed but still with they value
- clic OK
-> you see that there is no more real borders and no more spacing with the box inside
- save document as odt
open this document in V5.4.2.2
-> you see that there is a spacing between the objet and the box inside
So, text inside may be shifted cause the box is smaller

Expected Results:
when there is no border, the spacing value must stay grey and assume as Zero
When opening properties, the value are not grayed but there is no border.
Clic on "no border" and the spacing value stay changeable
I tried with the same version on Windows 10 64 with the same result.
Is it a bug?
Is it the new functionning?
I would prefer a new parameter like "apply spacing even if no border"for new version.
Spacing values must stay disable and assume as 0 if the version of writer dont find it in properties of objet.
it's not coherent with Shadows style as i see that Colors and Distance are grayed without border

I just tried with V5.3.6.1
The bug is worse.
Like in V5.4.2.2 I open the document and it's an abnormal space between the objet and the box,
But when i open the properties, the spacing of content are greyed. So they must be assume as 0.
Then i vlic on OK without changing and the objet appears in a normal way, without space.
I think it's worse than with V5.4.2.2
LEt me think that the issue was corrected in a bad way...

You can't confirm your own bugs. Moving it back to UNCONFIRMED until someone else confirms it.

That is the new intended behavior. It changed with bug 41542. It allows a workaround for bug 33041.

To adapt old documents, set a border, set the spacing to zero and remove the border.
