The dialog Data > Validity allows to enter Names for ranges, providing the allowed data. However, it doesn't do so intelligent, such as e.g. formulas, where autoCompletion makes sure you have the correct name

Reproducible, but not only there it is also editing conditional format.

I think only works editing directly the cell, neither in function wizard works for me.

I am generalising this bug report to any cell range picker (the ones that can be shrunk and expanded, like in Function Wizard, Data Validity, and a chart's Data Ranges).
