Description James Carmody 2017-11-11 16:21:55 UTC
Description:
When I type a fraction like 60/320, I cannot get it to yield a number result. It only remains a fraction. Operators in LibreOffice Calc says it will yield a numerical result, but it does not.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Type a fraction
2.Observe it does not produce one number
3.Despair

Actual Results:
Division does not happen.

Expected Results:
Division should happen.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
I use a Lenovo laptop with Windows 10 operating system. I will gladly switch to another OS that would fix problems like this.

Have you tried the following?

sum= (60/320)
Comment 2 V Stuart Foote 2017-11-11 16:46:48 UTC
You are entering a string. Prepend an "=" while typing to force it to be a formula. Otherwise work from the input bar and click the "formula" (blue =) to enter the formula.

No, the steps to think it as a sum escape. V Stuart Foote showed my error, but thank you as well!
