Using the keyboard menu button (i.e. to bring up the context menu to fix a misspelled word) makes the cursor disappear. You can still type and move the cursor using arrow keys, but it won't actually show until you click somewhere in the document with the mouse.
Thank you for reporting the bug. it seems you're using an old version of LibreOffice. Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.
I confirm this behaviour, and set it to NEW, but I'm not sure, if this is really a bug => needsUXEval Version: 5.4.3.2 (x64) Build-ID: 92a7159f7e4af62137622921e809f8546db437e5 CPU-Threads: 4; Betriebssystem:Windows 6.19; UI-Render: Standard; Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE); Calc: group
Cannot confirm using W7, Version: 6.0.0.0.alpha1+ When I press the menu button on the keyboard with cursor over the underlined "Don't eat the yello snow" the context menu with alternatives shows up and the cursor turns into crDefault (arrow pointer).
It was not clear for me, that the arrow is the cursor, so I would say NOTABUG.
