Description:
In the LibreOffice preferences there is no possibility to set permanently the page format which is wanted for opening a text document. Usually one has to start with DIN A4, but I would like to start normally with DIN A5.

Actual Results:  
no possibility to select page format in preferencess

Expected Results:
always page format DIN  A4

You can do it as follows:

1. Create a page in your preferenced style.
2. Save it as a template.
3. Open Template manager and choose this template as your default template.

=> So I would say NOTABUG. If you don't agree please feel free to reopen it.
