Description Keith 2017-11-29 18:27:16 UTC
Description:
A change to the font color is not displayed to screen or print preview.
For example, highlighting text and setting the color to 'red' remains black.
However, if you look at the text properties, it does indicate that it should be 'red'. I've experienced this problem in both Calc and Writer. Opening the ODT document in Microsoft Word 2013 displays the correct color of the formatted text.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.highlight text
2.change the font color (either by tool-bar or context menu - Character->Font Effects->Font color)
3.Note that the text remains black even though the properties show the correct value

Actual Results:
The text remains black (displayed color)

Expected Results:
The font color should change to the color I chose

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
It seems to be that LibreOffice just does not DISPLAY it correctly, as the property, Font Color, has the correct value and other word processors display the document correctly.

I just downloaded LibreOffice 6.0alpha and the problem does not seem to exist in this version.

Hi Keith,

Please open Tools > Options..., under LibreOffice > Accessibility make sure the "Use automatic font color for screen display" option isn't activated (note that changing this option will require restarting Writer). Does it help?
