Description: I like having one file for one topic, I have been using cells as a text document! Would be nice to have a choice on sheets in calc to be a text writer or a calc sheet. I use Linux Lite and windows 10, both run LibreOffice as well or better than M. S. office! Even that last fix, bug, you did for me with the large file expanding to twice its size when saving, it has not done it since. Thanks Steps to Reproduce: 1.choose a sheet in calc 2.have options for sheet to be a spreed sheet or a writer 3. Actual Results: 1.choose a sheet in calc 2.have options for sheet to be a spreed sheet or a writer 3 Expected Results: 1.choose a sheet in calc 2.have options for sheet to be a spreed sheet or a writer 3 Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: 1.choose a sheet in calc 2.have options for sheet to be a spreed sheet or a writer 3 BELOW......I copy my user file back and forth from Windows 10 & Linux Lite! Thanks! You have made it very user friendly User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:57.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/57.0
That is not possible in ODF. A spreadsheet document can only have tables (<table:table> element). Therefore this issue would be a "wontfix" for me, but... From point of ODF a table cell in Calc can have the same content as a table cell in Writer. But that is not implemented in LibreOffice. Other spreadsheet application allow such rich content neither. Currently only simple texts are possible. What feature do you miss for texts in cells in Calc? Perhaps we can record such feature as enhancement request here. [Character styles is already in bug 108220, line spacing is already in bug 108555] Currently it is possible, to show text document content via OLE object.
Thanks. I have been putting a lot in cells. Not sure what feature to single out! I'm ok with what I am doing, just thought it would be nice and something you would of liked to add, if easy quick addition. Another thing I stumbled onto for my Linux Lite was how to quickly update...Update LibreOffice.……...sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/ppa Before, it took much longer. I hope this works. It would be nice to have a simple place in LibreOffice) to learn how to. It takes such a long search, read, to find such. I was not even looking for that command! I just got lucky. Again thanks. Like just now,I tried twice to reply, didn't go. Simple email becomes so time consuming to just know where to reply! Why so hard, how to, when we all have our own email sites to reply but can not use them LibreOffice nor Linux? Really hoping it will work this time, I see a button saying SAVE!!!!. If not, I give! But again, thanks.
