Description greymalkin.tux 2017-12-10 21:12:14 UTC
Description:
Libreoffice Impress and Calc are both having problems on my machine. Especially when using both at the same time, seemingly, they like to get hung up and crash.
Sending an error report failed, I think (the program crashed yet again).
I am piecing together a presentation with a lot of pictures etc.
Most of it works great, and I already updated to the newest version (before reinstall, after uninstalling the older version, I deleted the remaining stuff from AppData).

The program is getting stuck when I try to perform normal operations, like opening the settings for a table (imported from calc).

Machine: Windows 7 Ultimate, 8GB ram, Intel core-i52500

Version: 5.3.7.2 (x64)
Build-ID: 6b8ed514a9f8b44d37a1b96673cbbdd077e24059
CPU-Threads: 4; BS-Version: Windows 6.1; UI-Render: Standard; Layout-Engine: neu;
Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE); Calc: group

I am willing to help, but I have had bad experiences with LibreOffice before.
I am aware that software development is difficult, especially when you have to rely on funding etc. What can I do?
The last time i submitted a bug report, I just got the answer "Worksforme".
This is not satisfying and does not help me. So, if you need additional information, please let me know.

Actual Results:
open the file, work a little on it, wait for a crash on a random action

Expected Results:
i have to close the program or it crashes, then I can restart it and keep working.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Update:

after right-clicking on the inserted table, and choosing "modify template", the cursor stays as the four-arrow-thing, i can change to other slides, but i cannot interact in any way with the content of the file.

Could you try with 5.4.3?

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED, if the problem persists. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.
