Description: Version: 5.0.3.2 1. No problem drawing dimension lines, but when attempting to edit the Position and Size of a dimension line, Draw often goes berserk. e.g. editing the Width of a horizontal line will cause the Vertical (position) to go off the page somewhere. Further attempts to correct the values cause increasing chaos. 2. Metric values are converted to an approximation in inches - resulting in small inaccuracies that add up across a modestly complex drawing. The whole purpose of dimension lines is to have the EXACT dimension displayed. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set dimensions to mm, default scale to 1:20, page size to A4. 2. Draw a horizontal dimension line (several hundred mm) 3. Over-type the Width value with slightly different, whole number, value. Actual Results: An apparently random number appears in Width, and either or both Position values go berserk (way off the page) and the only cure is to delete the object and start again. This problem seems to be confined to dimension lines. It doesn't affect straight lines, or rectangles which can be edited using the method described. Expected Results: Only the value being edited should have changed (to that typed) Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: OpenGL vendor string: Intel Open Source Technology Center OpenGL renderer string: Mesa DRI Intel(R) Sandybridge Mobile OpenGL core profile version string: 3.1 (Core Profile) Mesa 10.1.3 OpenGL core profile shading language version string: 1.40 OpenGL core profile context flags: (none) OpenGL core profile extensions: OpenGL version string: 3.0 Mesa 10.1.3 OpenGL shading language version string: 1.30 OpenGL context flags: (none) OpenGL extensions: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:57.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/57.0
Please try with version 5.4.4. A quick way to test is an AppImage: http://libreoffice.soluzioniopen.com/ Set to NEEDINFO. Change back to UNCONFIRMED, if the problem persists. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.

I do see this too in Version: 6.1.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: a9b202a6b7000e7af34f2a639ca207122a3968bf CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.13; UI render: default; VCL: gtk2; TinderBox: Linux-rpm_deb-x86_64@70-TDF, Branch:master, Time: 2017-12-26_23:09:36 Locale: nl-NL (nl_NL.UTF-8); Calc: group threaded
This bug also applies to any dimension line drawn in a Writer document. Seems to be confined to dimension lines ONLY. Never had a problem with lines ending with various arrows. Difficult to determine the precise circumstances. Reloading the file will fix the problem for a while. But then strikes again. Once triggered seems to afflict all dimension lines in the document.
It is most visible with the Side Bar. Tried it in LibreOffice 3.4.4. too. There when you change the width in the dialog, if often also changes to some other value. Then after putting the same wanted value again, it is applied.. So it looks as an old problem.
Dear itdept, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! Not sure why you set it back to NEW, but I can't repro with kf5 and gen either.
