Description: When constructing a Table of Contents the tab fill options include: a string of dots, a couple different strings of dashes, or a repeated character. Many publishers require the leader dots to be spaced but LibreOffice does not provide a way to accomplish this. In other words: Chapter 1...............................................5 should look like: Chapter 1 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 5 Currently LibreOffice does not allow users to make this correction unless they go in manually and edit the TOC (which then prevents the user from updating the TOC). Please either add a stock option to use " . . . " as a fill character or allow users to input a string (rather than just a single character). Steps to Reproduce: 1. Styles and Formatting 2. Paragraph 3. Tabs 4. Fill Character Actual Results: Available options: None ........ -------- ________ Character Expected Results: Available options: None ........ . . . . . . . . -------- ________ Character Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux i686; rv:56.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/56.0
You have the possibility of spaced docs: 1. Open TOC-dialog 2. Entries => Press T (for Tab Stop) 3. Choose fill character style (Maybe you could also define a character style, but I vaven't tried it) So would close this as WORKSFORME. Do you agree? Set to NEEDINFO. Change back to UNCONFIRMED, if the problem persists. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away
That worked--thanks!
