Description Bill Planey 2018-01-26 21:55:17 UTC
Description:
Using InDesign CS 5.5 and Libre Office 4.2.7.2 on OS X 10.8.5
----------------
Libre Office is able to display (and show who made) tracked edits from a Word .docx file. If I select the text from within Libre Office and Copy, then Paste it into InDesign, the struck-through text (correctly) goes away. If I import (Place) the .docx file instead, the struck-through text gets imported (which should not happen).

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a .docx file in MS Word and track changes, making some deletions after the first save.
2. Place file in InDesign, note text
3. Copy text from Libre Office, then PASTE into a text box within InDesign and note the difference.

Actual Results:
Text that had been deleted but which was tracked in Word, did not remain deleted.

Expected Results:
Software should have supported the corrected text according to the tracked changes.

Reproducible: Always

This rings a bell as a possible duplicate - now just need to find it...

@Bill:

I don't have InDesign to even try and reproduce this. Is there some other commonly available application where the problem also manifests itself ?
