Description: The managed changes dialog has two panes: A listing of all changes, and change filter management. Both are important and useful, but - they don't interact. Thus one can't, say, accept all changes by Author X rather than Author Y, or reject all changes from last week etc. At the minimum, it should be possible to accept or reject all changes which match the filter - which is not possible right now. What would be even better is having the changes list pane only display those changes passing the filter, and have the buttons apply to those changes. This would nicely expand the scope of possible actions for authors/editors. If the latter option is taken, there could either be a "Clear filter" button in the changes list pane, or some other visual indication that a filter is in effect (although that's not critical in my opinion). (In reply to Eyal Rozenberg from comment #0) Thus one can't, > say, accept all changes by Author X rather than Author Y, or reject all > changes from last week etc. Let me qualify that - it is possible to reorder the changes list, select a range and accept or reject all of it. But the argment stands.
True, there was a proposal for an improved UI but it wasn't realized completely. Filter settings are never something that can be put into an extra tab.
Testing this again with 7.6: in a document with insertions, deletions, and format changes I select Formats in the filter tab and click accept all - applies to only formats. Invalid or WFM?
The issue could not be reproduced, filters work as expected here up to v7.4.
