Description umsonster+bugzilla 2018-02-27 08:49:54 UTC
Description:
When trying to print Handout pages in slideshows containing many pictures of big size the pictures are not shown in the preview and are not printed (or printed to pdf on macOS). Randomly there are some pictures showing up, I cannot reproduce and find out when exactly they do reappear. I did not succeed in showing all of the pictures.

When selecting "3 slides per page" the lines on the right do not appear. I have to change to 4 slides per page and back to 3 to make them appear.

The initial order of the slides in down first, then right even with "left-right, then down" selected.

This renders Impress useless to me, as I cannot print Handouts.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a ops-slideshow with many and/or big pictures in it
2. Open Print-window
3. Select Handout Pages
4. Select Slides per page "3"

Actual Results:
Print does not show pictures.

Lines on the right do not appear on print.

Slides are in the wrong order.

Expected Results:
Pictures should be shown.

Lines should appear instantly, when selecting "3 slides per page".

Order of slides should be as selected.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

OpenGL enabled: Yes

@umsonster : it would help us more if you could provide a test ODP file rather than having to guess at the file size and type of / number of images you might have inserted.

Setting to NEEDINFO pending requested information.

Shows wrong order of slides when printing Handouts

The files contain material that isn't CC-BY-SA or free material. Can I post it here without risking to "publish" it? Do only registered members see my attachments?

Presentation on pregnancy

When opening first time, printing works properly. After having done some changes the problem occurs. Seems like this has to do with buffers/ caches/ RAM...
Comment 4 umsonster+bugzilla 2018-08-23 10:53:42 UTC
And problem persists in 6.0.6.2.
Comment 5 Xisco Faulí 2018-08-25 14:08:26 UTC
You can't confirm your own bugs. Moving it back to UNCONFIRMED until someone
else confirms it.
Comment 6 Alex Thurgood 2018-08-27 08:37:44 UTC
No repro with

Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: b4ef23955e11a90b54bce189c3300406e9cf15b0
CPU threads: 4; OS: Mac OS X 10.13.6; UI render: default;
Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); Calc: threaded

If I open the test presentation file in Impress, then Cmd-P to print, select handouts, 3 slides per page, and save to PDF, I get all of the images and the handout lines to the right for each slide.
Comment 7 Alex Thurgood 2018-08-27 08:41:11 UTC
Also no repro with

Version: 6.1.0.3
Build ID: efb621ed25068d70781dc026f7e9c5187a4decd1
Threads CPU : 4; OS : Mac OS X 10.13.6; UI Render : par défaut;
Locale : fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); Calc: group threaded

@umsosnter : I would suggest you upgrade to LO6.1
Comment 8 Alex Thurgood 2018-08-27 08:43:38 UTC
I would add that the order of slides is also correct in the PDF handout.
