Description michael.s.denham 2018-03-04 19:02:03 UTC
Description:
A bulleted list in LibreOffice will not display properly in a .docx format. The bullets are replaced by squares. I believe this is because the default symbol used as a bullet is a character from the Symbol font, rather than the unicode character for bullet in whatever font the user is currently typing in. This should be changed to ensure proper compatibility, especially considering that .docx, whether you like it or not, is the standard file format for virtually all business.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a bulleted list using the default settings.
2. Save document as a .docx file.
3. View document in another processor-- Microsoft Office or Google Docs.

Actual Results:
The bullets are replaced with hollow squares.

Expected Results:
The bullets should be bullets.

Reproducible: Always

Additional Info:
This also happens when opening and editing an existing docx file not created in LibreOffice, and then saving it again.

No problem here.

Please attach an example document in ODT format and we can try saving it to DOCX.
