Description Daniel Oakey 2018-03-26 16:16:56 UTC
Description:
If I do

Insert > Media > Photo Album

I can insert a group of pictures into Impress. These images will be centered and they will be resized so they fit each slide while maintaining the image's aspect ratio. This is a fantastic tool!

I would like to be able to add video files in this way as well. Currently, this feature only works for image formats.

Actual Results:
Video files cannot be added en masse to impress. They must be added one at a time.

Expected Results:
Batch importing content into impress should include all formats supported by impress.

Reproducible: Always

Is there an (open) standard for photo albums? If not I would refrain from implementing a particular solution like Google Photo or Facebook's Instagram. That's better done per extension.

What do you mean an open standard for photo albums? And how is that relevant to what the bug reporter describes?

All my complaints about not being in scope rendered pointless with the existence of this function (realized with bug 35546; Impress Insert > Media > Photo Album).

And now I understand the wish for videos, shouldn't change much regarding UI and workflow.
