Description Telesto 2018-04-01 14:03:19 UTC
Description:
Spinoff from bug 106154: Dialogs display in order of a second or two, especially when initiating dialog display :
- styles modify dialog
- character dialog ;
- paragraph dialog ;
- numbering and bullets (particularly slow);
- page dialog.

Displaying or removing the sidebar doesn't seem to make any noticeable difference.

There is a lag on Windows to, but - mostly - limited to the first opening. However, could be related to the screen resolution (https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/150823/extremely-slow-stylemodel-configuration-window/)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch Writer
2. Open the sidebar -> Styles
3. Right click a style -> modify
4. Close dialog; repeat step 3

Other dialogs more or less affected
- character dialog ;
- paragraph dialog ;
- numbering and bullets (particularly slow);
- page dialog.

Actual Results:
Dialogs are opening slowly

Expected Results:
Fast and snappy dialogs

Reproducible: Always

This seems exactly the issue of bug 106154 its OP, or cmnt 19. As that BZ issue remains unresolved, seems no need to open another issue
