Created attachment 141589 [details] Very simple single sheet Calc ODS spreadsheet containing <690 rows with occasional comments I've been using this spreadsheet for about 5 years. It was totally fine on a previous version of LibreOffice (I'm not sure the exact version, maybe v5 or v4) when I was using Ubuntu 14.04. But it's become absolutely unusably slow. My computer is extremely fast at 4.3Ghz, and libreoffice Calc is taking about 5 minutes just to insert a row in a tiny little spreadsheet. Please help!!!
Some other details. As I mentioned, my computer is extremely fast 4.3Ghz 4th gen i5. 32GB 2400mhz dual channel DDR3 RAM, SSD etc. Running Ubuntu 16.04 4.13 kernel.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU I can work again! You were right. The problem was a corrupt user profile. Sorry to be the retard guy who ignored the instructions about corrupt user profile. I thought "What does inserting a row have to do with my user profile" but clearly I know nothing about the user profile. And I didn't realize how easy it was to reset the user profile to factory settings. Next time Calc so much as farts I will reset the user profile. Ah, what a relief!!! You've made my day! Adding a row takes about 200ms (guess) Scrolling is instant. Hovering over comments gives a specific delay (I would love to set it to zero, do you know how to do it), but when I've recently hovered over a cell's comment and hover again, it shows instantly.
