Created attachment 141891 [details] Data base not saving, having to force quit Libre When setting up and saving a new database, when save is selected Libre quits responding (the colorful pinwheel of death) and has to be force quit.
I was just confirming the previous bug using 5.4.6.2 on Ubuntu 17.10 and had a similar (identical) problem. Created the test file and table, entered some data and created a query. When I went to save the file it became none responsive and had I had to kill the process. When I restarted it went into recovery mode on the file. Upon opening the file the table and data were intact, but the query I had saved from the designer (so before the actual file save) was gone. Trying to recreate it however was fruitless and everything worked as expected. This would be the second or maybe third time this has happened with 5.4.6.2 during the last 2 weeks in which time have created minimum 30 test files.
@mdxman33: unfortunately, we need more information than that to be able to try and reproduce. Under what circumstances does the save fail ? - heavy system load ? - network save ? - saving to a symbolically linked folder ? - please also indicate your macOS version, in case that makes a difference.
No repro for me with: Version: 5.4.6.2 Build ID: 4014ce260a04f1026ba855d3b8d91541c224eab8 Threads CPU : 4; OS : Mac OS X 10.13.4; UI Render : par défaut; Locale : fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); Calc: group Creating a default embedded hsqldb ODB file. Steps used : 1) Start LO 5462 2) Click on Create a new database 3) Choose embedded hsqldb, then click on Next 3) Leave the default options of "Yes, I want the database to be registered" and "Open the database for editing". 4) Click on "Finish", Finder dialog appears to enter name of ODB file to save to. 5) Type in name, click on Save.
@Drew : your scenario is different, as you mention that you already created a table. The default wizard doesn't create any tables, just an ODB file. No repro for me either if I tick the wizard option to start the table wizard on database creation. File is still saved.
