If a word is added to the dictionary, Calc only removes the wavy red underline for the instance of the word in the cell in which the word was right-clicked for the context menu.  It does not propagate the change to other instances of that word in the rest of the document.  Saving the document and re-opening it does make it propagate to the whole document.

This doesn't happen in writer, so I think the behaviour should be consistent across platforms. Moving to NEW...
