Works, but not perfekt.
Comment 4 Joao Farias 2018-06-04 18:45:17 UTC
For what I could understand from the second video, the issue now is that some UI texts are not being displayed in English, rather than German - however, the dictionary and menus are correctly in German.

@J. Schilte, if so, could you list the UI elements which are not responding to the language setting?

Setting to NEEDINFO, please, move to NEW as soon as the informations are provided.

A new major release of LibreOffice is available since this bug was reported.
Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ?
I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to
'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.

Linksklick -> Neu Dokument ODT -> LibreOffice starten

Orig Text

Left Click -> New Document ODT -> Start LibreOffice
Standard Dictionary English: But my system is German

Why is not the system's default dictionary loaded?
I do not speak English and do not write in English.
It does not always want to change the dictionary by hand to be able to write first.
