Description: Pivot tables with multiple columns and rows have been incomplete but at least operated on the first defined column and row fields, but in this version they appear to be totally inoperative. This would otherwise be considered Severity "Minor" since there is a work-around by copying the table to a new sheet and sorting and/or rearranging, but given that this has been dysfunctional in the last several releases, I consider it a bug. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Create a pivot table that counts a column cell which matches a row cell (a "matrix") 2.in either the creation options or in the resulting pivot table: 3.Try to sort by rows and/or 4.Try to sort by columns Actual Results: no sort Expected Results: sort Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: [Information automatically included from LibreOffice] Locale: en-US Module: SpreadsheetDocument [Information guessed from browser] OS: Windows (All) OS is 64bit: no User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/66.0.3359.181 Safari/537.36
This appears to be corrected in v 6.0.4.2 (x64), but sorting on other than first column and/or row do not appear to work.
I think data on pivot table are always sorted by columns/rows order. It's possible to edit the row/columns field to sort on ascending/descending order and choose to sort by data fields.
(In reply to m.a.riosv from comment #2) > I think data on pivot table are always sorted by columns/rows order. It's > possible to edit the row/columns field to sort on ascending/descending order > and choose to sort by data fields. They have corrected it in v6.0.4.2 to sort on only the first column and row, but any others in the generated pivot table do NOT sort, nor does the option selection work prior to creating the table. I haven't done a bug report for v6.0.4.2 yet, but it's a bug. Why show the option in the generated table if it's not functional intentionally?
So, please attach a sample file with the issue.
Created attachment 142279 [details] A pivot table in a spreadsheet (typical, I presume) Perhaps this is similar to the pivot tables used when testing? If not, I guess it should be.
Thanks for retesting with the latest version. Setting to RESOLVED WORKSFORME as the commit fixing this issue hasn't been identified.
