Description Christoffer 2018-05-27 17:23:22 UTC
Description:
After installation of LibreOfficeDev_6.1.0.0.beta1_Win_x64 no LO file extensions were registered in Windows and most document files i open with Writer and Calc are unrecognized. It is possible to manually associate file types to the corresponding .exe module, however LibreOffice's thumbnail generation does not work.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Standard installation
2. Didn't deselect any file associations
3. OS restart

Actual Results:
Most of the file types used by LO is unknown by Windows and is by default read by other software from the Windows OS.

Expected Results:
File types associated with LO are recognized by Windows
AND automatic thumbnail generation works.

Reproducible: Didn't try

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Beta versions don't modify user registry by default; the beta's installer has WRITE_REGISTRY property set to 0. That allows users to install the betas in parallel to a release version, and not ruin the system.

If you need to modify system settings, then run the installation using

msiexec /i path\to\LibreOfficeDev_6.1.0.0.beta1_Win_x64.msi WRITE_REGISTRY=1
