Description:
There's a problem with the installer portion of LibreOffice_5.4.7_MacOS_x86-64.dmg.

On Saturday, June 2, 2018, I downloaded LibreOffice 5.4.7 for Mac OS X x86_64 from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/download/.

When I double-clicked LibreOffice_5.4.7_MacOS_x86-64.dmg in Finder, a pop-up window displayed a gray and white LibreOffice icon labeled "LibreOffice.app," a green right-pointing arrow icon, an aqua folder icon labeled "Applications," an aqua folder icon labeled "LICENSEs," and an aqua folder icon labeled "READMEs." Clicking on the "Applications" folder icon installed LibreOffice on my iMac. However, when I double-clicked LibreOffice in my iMac's Applications folder, LibreOffice wouldn't open. I got a pop-up that said "LibreOffice quit unexpectedly."

I went to Finder > Applications, right-clicked LibreOffice.app, selected Get Info, and under General, the Version: read "LibreOffice 6.0.1.1."

Then I went to Finder > Devices > the mounted "LibreOffice" drive, right-clicked LibreOffice.app, selected Get Info, and under General, the Version: read "LibreOffice 5.4.7.2."

My workaround was to copy LibreOffice.app, from the mounted drive, to the Applications folder. Now I'm able to open LibreOffice 5.4.7.2.

I have an iMac18,2, with macOS High Sierra, Version 10.13.4.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. double-clicked LibreOffice_5.4.7_MacOS_x86-64.dmg in Finder
2. clicked "Applications" folder icon in installation pop-up
3. double-clicked LibreOffice in Applications folder

Actual Results:
pop-up said "LibreOffice quit unexpectedly."

Expected Results:
expected LibreOffice 5.4.7.2 to open

Reproducible: Always

s2_b9-s0 : to my knowledge, LibreOffice has only ever been installable by dragging the app bundle onto the Appplications folder, either directly or via the symlink created when you mount the DMG, so I'm not quite sure why you think this is eroneous behaviour.

Currently, this works as designed.
