Description CT 2018-06-04 12:34:20 UTC
Description:
When saving a document as fodp (flat text), after closing and re-opening LibreOffice, the last symbol of each of the text boxes placed at the bottom of each page by the master slide (date, footer and total of pages) is duplicated.
This can be repeated, so closing and re-opening again will result in seeing the footer three times.
Workaround is pretty annoying: Every time when opening the document the master slides have to be edited
Keywords: FILEOPEN, FILESAVE

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new document, select Insert > Header and Footer..., then enter fixed date, footer and enable slide numbers, then click 'Apply to all'; result is immediately visible on the first slide
2. Save the document with extension .fodp and close LibreOffice
3. Open LibreOffice and the document

Actual Results:
Date, footer and page number are shown twice on the slide

Expected Results:
Well, obviously the fields should be shown as they were before closing LibreOffice

Reproducible: Always

I can't reproduce it in

Version: 6.1.0.0.beta1+
Build ID: b57819201ff89bbde14b4df8c02a0eb4bea2c2bb
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.13; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3;
Locale: ca-ES (ca_ES.UTF-8); Calc: group threaded

I guess you meant .FODT, didn't you ?

Please attach a .ODT file as it should look before saving to .FODT , as this makes it easier for us to verify the bug.
(Please note that the attachment will be public, remove any sensitive information before attaching it.
See https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FAQ#How_can_I_eliminate_confidential_data_from_a_sample_document.3F for help on how to do so.)

I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' once the requested document is provided.

Dear CT,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team
