I have just installed Debian Jessie 8.8 with the Libre Office suite. Whilst my earlier Debian Wheezy had libre Office 3 with it, there has never been any problems downloading and opening *.xls files (eg bank statements), it does it automatically. The later Jessie version has none of these benefits so must be unfinished

Please cancel this report as I have now migrated to a later vesion and this problem is no longer present. I will report any future bugs if they show up.
