Description: Dear Team, CASE 1:- As i observed when i open a calc/writer file in libreOffice version 6.0.5.2 under Ubuntu/Xbuntu version 16.04 32-Bits from windows networked sharing location FIRST IN WINDOWS PC and then in Ubuntu/XUbuntu System , the file get opened in Read Only mode without any PROBLEM. CASE 2:- BUT when i open same LibreOffice file FIRST in Ubuntu/XUbuntu FROM Network Location and then try to open it in READ ONLY MODE on WINDOWS PC or another Ubuntu/XUbuntu System . i got READ ERROR:- Data could not be read from the file. CASE 3:- When i try to open same libreoffice file FIRST at Windows PC and then Open on another Windows PC , the file get opened in Read only mode without any PROBLEM. Please assist . . . Actual Results: not resolved yet. Expected Results: it should open both way. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info:

I can't try with a network location, but it works fine if I open a file on Linux and the I try to open the same file from a win vm... Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'.
