Description: I cannot set 'same content on first page' for header or footer without it affecting the other. In my specific case I want 'same..' checked for header but unchecked for footer. Either this is unexpectedly impossible by design, or there appears to be a bug here. Aside, I have also noticed that setting 'Borders' > 'Style: none' does not save when the Format dialogue box is closed with 'OK'. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Format dialogue box. Mix up settings for header/footer 'same content on first page'. 2. Click OK. 3. Re-open Format dialogue box and review settings. Actual Results: It would appear that header and footer settings for 'same content on first page' must match each other. Expected Results: I would have expected to be able to set header and footer settings for 'same content on first page' independently. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: [Information automatically included from LibreOffice] Locale: en-US Module: TextDocument [Information guessed from browser] OS: Windows (All) OS is 64bit: no
This is a new feature and will be included in ODF 1.3. The current draft of ODF 1.3 has nothing, that would prevent to have a special first header but a common footer. There is no such linking for the "same right/left page" setting. Therefore I consider it as bug to have it linked for "first page".
Dear christophe.hall@gmail.com, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. Created attachment 158151 [details] Writer file showing a bug in the page header setting
Version: 6.4.0.3 (x64) Build ID: b0a288ab3d2d4774cb44b62f04d5d28733ac6df8 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 18363; UI render: default; VCL: win; Locale: en-GB (en_GB); UI-Language: en-GB Calc: threaded I can confirm a bug—at least for headers. 1. Open the attached file (previous post). 2. Navigate to the first page of Endnotes, p. 11. Note that in the "Header" tab of the "Endnote" page style, the "Same content on left and right pages" and "Same content on first page" are UNCHECKED. 3. Now change the text of the header (or its style) on the first page of endnotes. EXPECTED RESULT: No other header should be affected. ACTUAL RESULT: The header on p. 13 also changes.
Sorry, I changed the version by mistake. Original started with 5.7.
Sorry, my mistake. The bug I've reported above is actually a NEW bug. Please ignore the above and I'll resubmit it separately.
