Created attachment 144040 [details] Screenshot showing dialogs and java Control Panel On startup, LibreOffice Writer displays dialog boxes on MacOS indicating "An Error has occurred in LanguageTool 3.9" "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class org.languagetool.Languages" it reports OS: MacOS on x86_64, Java 9.0.4 from Oracle Java Control Panel reports Java 10.0.2 MacOS version is 10.13.6 "High Sierra" It is not clear whether Writer expects 9.0.4 and is incompatible with 10.0.2 or whether it is somehow invoking an old version of 9.0.4 even though the newer one is present, or if the problem is completely unrelated. After dismissing dialogs, Writer seems to work normally, although no exhaustive testing has yet been attempted.
As mentioned in our wiki [1], extension bugs should go to the author of extension. So here are two related tips: 1. LanguageTool [2] has its dedicated bug tracker [3]. 2. LinguageTool's current version is 4.2. Closing as NOTOURBUG. Please reopen if you have strong evidence that this problem is not specific to the extension; please describe the reason when doing so.
