Description David Edwards 2018-08-13 16:41:18 UTC
This bug was filed from the crash reporting server and is br-be2fcc43-98e3-4e3a-bc4e-31837e831a9e.
=========================================

I forgot that it would not work and tried to operate the printer's utility (to clean the heads) and as usual LibreOffice crashed. This happens if I try to do anything connected with the printer - the only way to print is to make a pdf and print from its software. This since updating to 6.0.5.2 (x64)

I find it very unclear whether a bug report was attached to the crash report or not (clear instructions with screenshots would be very useful) but assuming not am filing this. I have though seen in a forum that many people are having such problems with this version of LO

Thank you for reporting the bug. To be certain the reported issue is not
related to corruption in the user profile, could you please reset your
Libreoffice profile ( https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile ) and
re-test?

I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to
'UNCONFIRMED' if the issue is still present

many thanks for suggesting I reset the user profile. After doing this LO no longer crashes and I have been able to print a document without making a PDF version of It for the purpose. So it's not a bug with LO.

What is interesting is that many people seem to be having similar issues with the latest version of 6.0 - see
https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/145748/i-cant-print-anything-from-60/?answer=161878#post-id-161878
to which I added my problems (and will now update with the solution).
I wonder why - can the download somehow be corrupting the profiles??

Thanks for retesting with a clean profile.
Setting to RESOLVED WORKSFORME as the commit fixing this issue hasn't been identified.
